Hello All!

My name is Emily and I am an Elementary Education major at The College at Brockport. The topic of internet safety, especially for children, is a topic that I am very passionate about. I want to be an elementary school teacher, specifically 1st grade, so I believe that educating children about how to be safe while on the internet is something that could and should be incorporated into the classroom as early as possible!

In today's society, with the technology growing and advancing every day, it is especially important for people to have more information on this topic. There are many dangers online that children need to be aware of. The sooner they gain this important information, the stronger their internet safety skills will be. This will benefit them in their futures and hopefully lead to a safer online experience for everyone!

I hope that you all take some valuable information as to why and how to keep your children safe while using the internet. Not only will this benefit parents, but other family members, educators, coaches, and any other individual that strives to ensure the safety of a child!
